Microscopes allow us to take swabs, aspirates, and tissue samples and look at the individual cells that make them up. Often this is how we get an answer as to what is causing lumps and bumps or certain types of infections. We have one of the world’s most advanced microscope systems that takes our samples and scans them at extremely high resolution and then sends them to be reviewed by a board certified veterinary pathologist. This is a specialist who has advanced training in reading these samples. We get results back within just a few hours. No more waiting for days while the slides are shipped across the country to a pathologist and then prepared by a special lab. Our advanced technology allows us to achieve in the same thing in the course of hours. This means fewer stressful hours waiting for you and that we get answers sooner and can begin therapy sooner for your pet, which helps us to achieve better outcomes for you and your pet.
